4 Guidelines to the Perfect Picture
Photography has no boundaries when it comes to ones ideas and visions. But sometimes you need to keep the training wheels on before the first push to success. Here are just a few guidelines to help you include techniques in your little world of imagination.
Birds-eye View
Birdseye view is a great way to capture the environment. When shooting with this technique you are taking picture from above, like from the perspective of a bird! This photo that I took isn't that high off the ground but it does show the effect of the position of the camera to the environment. To achieve this photo you can use a drone or go on hike in the mountains. Any high area will do.
Worms-eye view
If you want to show the significance of something you should apply this technique into your pictures! Worms-eye view means taking a photo with the perspective of a worm..if they had eyes. To achieve this shot you have get down on the ground and face you camera up towards the sky and click!
Low-key lighting
To create a more dramatic effect you can use low-key lighting to convey a message of suspense. This picture isn't a really good example of this technique but it gets the point across. Basically you're going to need a bright light only illuminating the face region. The background has to be midnight black to create the effect you want.
The Dutch Angle
If you're looking to portray an unease photo..well look no further because the dutch angle is a great technique to achieve this style. All you have to do is tilt your camera to any side in which the shot is not parallel to the ground. The degrees of the dutch angle can range from 5 to 90 degrees. You can see the use of this technique in many action packed movies!
Now these are just a few examples on how to get your perfect picture. There are tons of other techniques and styles out there to discover. Just remember that not all styles will suit your ideas so continue to look for what will make your photos a masterpiece!
